Andrew Orel Eckhart, 33 of 299 Bertha Avenue, a jeweler for several years in the East End, died of pneumonia at 4:30 a.m. today.

 

He was stricken ill several days ago at the home of his mother, Mrs. Andrew J. Eckhart of Lucasville Rt. 4, where he passed away.

 

He was employed by the Joyce Jewelry Co. and the Jarvis Jewelry Co. in the vicinity of the Norfolk & Western Railway YMCA.

 

Mr. Eckhart was a member of Fairview Baptist church and the IOOF.

 

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Eileen Chestnut Eckhart; a son, Raymond Andrew, 3; three brothers, Harold of Newton, O; Dean of Cleveland and Marvin of Lucasville Rt. 4, and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Kennedy 2311 Scioto Trail; Mary Helen and Janet Eckhart of Lucasville Rt. 4.

 

The body may be viewed at the home of his mother on Eckhart Road between Stockdale and Minford.

 

Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. Thursday.  Rev. Russell Milam will be in charge.  Burial will be in Bennett cemetery under direction of Erwin Funeral Home.
