Mrs. Amy O'Dell
Title I Coordinator; Curriculum Coordinator

Mrs. Amy O'Dell began her tenure in the Minford Local School District as a kindergarten teacher at Minford Primary School in 1993.  She worked from 1990 - 1993 at Jenkins Primary School in West Portsmouth teaching kindergarten, prior to coming to Minford.  Upon completing 9 years as a classroom teacher, she accepted the offer to coordinate the Title I program and the curriculum within the Minford Local School District in 1999.  Mrs. O'Dell also coordinated the OhioReads volunteers, is administrator of the Accelerated Reader Program, Summer School, and plans professional development for the teachers.

Mrs. O'Dell earned her Master's Degree in Curriculum Design and Supervision from Morehead State University in 1995.

Elementary Education was Mrs. O'Dell's major when she received her Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University in 1989.

Mrs. O'Dell earned her high school diploma from Portsmouth West High School in 1986.

  • Reading Recovery for First Grade students.
  • Small group instruction in reading for students in grades 1 - 3.
  • Inclusion classes and/or tutoring for students in grades 4 - 8 in math
  • Inclusion classes for students in grades 4 - 6 in Language Arts
