Josephine L. Riggs, 89, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2005.

 

Mrs. Riggs moved to Lake Worth in 1962 from Dublin, Ohio.  She was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, where she was active in Sunday School and chaired the bazaar and rummage sales for many years.  She was also a member of the Women's Society of the church; a member of the Rebecca Lodge, Dubin, Ohio. 

 

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Howard W. Riggs.

 

Josephine is survived by a daughter, Carol (Richard L.) Gardner of Lake Worth; granddaughter Sheryl A. Earl (Fester) Pruitt, West Palm Beach and grandson, Robert A. Gardner, Lake Worth; great granddaughter, Candice Joanna Earl, West Palm Beach; sister Helen Knore of Minford, Ohio.

 

A funeral service will be held at the Tillman Funeral Home, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at 8 p.m. with Reverend Dale Locke, pastor of Community of Hope United Methodist Church officiating.  Frienda may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
