She was born April 14, 1921 in Minford, Ohio, the daughter of the late Orley Deemer and Stella Whaley Deemer. On November 1, 1941, Louise was united in marriage to Howard Leslie Detty who preceded her in death on November 13, 1993.

Surviving are two sons, Rodney H. Detty and wife Georgann of Marshall, Michigan and David K. Detty and wife Pamela of Zanesville, Ohio; two daughters, Joyce Varney and husband Eddie of West Chester, Ohio and Pam Myers of Piketon, Ohio; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, five brothers, Virgil, Raymond, Forrest, Cliff and Harry Deemer and seven sisters, Grace Crabtree, Marie Deiber, Vi Schirrman, Gayle Wissinger, Edith Cablish and two infants, Charlotte and Pauline and one grandson, John Labun preceded Louise in death.

Louise was retired from housekeeping for Pike Lake State Park and attended Bethel Christian Church.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday April 3, 2009 at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Hornback Funeral Home in Piketon. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Piketon.
