Ruth Ann Irvin Dodridge, 74, of Minford, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.

 

Born July 11, 1934 in New Boston, Ohio, a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Byers Irvin, she was a school teacher in Valley and Minford Local Schools and retired from Valley Local Schools.  She was a member of the Sciotoville Christian Church and was a Sunday school teacher.

 

She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Dodridge, whom she married September 27, 1952; two sons, Mark Dodridge of West Branch, Michigan and Rick (Sherry) Dodridge of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Cheryl (Drew) Neff of Portsmouth; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and three brothers and sisters, Nancy Stapleton of West Union, Walter Irvin of Portsmouth, and Audrey McGinnis of Mansfield.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dwayne Irvin.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford, with Minister Jimmy Hughes, Minister Jason Lykins and Minister Jeremy Wasch officiating.  Burial will be at Jacobs Cemetery in Lucasville.
