Mrs. Wanda Justice

A sadness fell on the Primary School and the Minford district with the automobile accident that took the life of Mrs.Wanda Justice. Mrs. Justice was only 48 years old at the time of her death. Her 13 years of teaching was spent in the in the Minford district. Mrs. Justice loved teaching her boys and girls, and dedicated herself to providing them with a good education. In a letter to her niece just days before her fatal accident she expressed her love of teaching by saying, "If the board of education only knew, I would teach for nothing if I had to."

The saying, (TGIF) or "Thank God It's Friday" was a pet peeve of hers. She lived everyday to the fullest and wanted to spend as much time with her students as she could. She was always early to arrive at school and was usually one of the last to leave at the end of the day.

The staff had faith in her ability to get things done and in fact that she could keep a confidence. They often went to her for assistance and for a listening ear.

Mrs. Justice was a spark that kept us all excited about children and education. She was mother hen to her students and to the rest of us. She was never sad or down but kept a vibrant characteristic that distinguished her from all others. Students and parents still treasure the gifts they received from Mrs. Justice and the loving attitude in which she gave them. We all remember her loving smile and understanding heart.
