AIRPORT TO HAVE MODERN RESTAURANT
Another big step toward making the Scioto County Airport one of the best equipped of its kind will be taken Wednesday when a modern restaurant will be opened in the administration building.
Donald Aeh, 26, of Wheelersburg Route 1 will operate the restaurant. Mr. Aeh announced the restaurant will serve complete dinners and lunches.
Division of Services to the Blind of the State Welfare Department has furnished the restaurant and will supervise its operation.
George Wilson, supervisor of the department, said the best restaurant equipment available, including a stainless steel kitehcn, has been installed. The dining area includes a sandwich bar and four tables.
"The state completely equips the restaurant and purchases the initial food order." Mr. Wilson said, "All of the profit from the restaurant goes to the operator. If the restaurant fails to be profitable the state will subsidize the operator. The project is part of the vacational rehabilition program."
Mr. Wilson said the restaurant is the 140th supervised by the department.
Scioto County commissioners granted the department free space in the administration building. The commissioners are expected to waive percentage fees now collected from soft drinks and other vending machines in the building, assigning this profit to the operator.
