WHEELERSBURG — David R. Canter, 72, of Wheelersburg passed away Tuesday December 9, 2014 at Heartland of Portsmouth.
He was born January 11, 1942 in Minford, a son of the late Raymond and Charlotte Spriggs Canter.
David worked in the Minford School District for many years, where he was a guidance counselor and earned his masters degree from Xavier University.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Jenkins Canter; two sons, Christopher Trent Canter and wife Tina of Wheelersburg, Chad Tyson Canter and wife Ellisha of Franklin Furnace; and a daughter, Casey Tanya Lewis and husband Scott of Greenup, KY; five grandchildren, Warren Lewis, Tori Canter, Bryson Canter, Dru Canter and Brandy Canter.
