Dr. William Seitz

Dr. Seitz received his medical degree from Eclectic Medical Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated in 1908.
Dr. William Seitz practiced medicine in the Harrisonville area from September 5, 1911 to August 17, 1914.
Upon leaving Harrisonville, he moved his practice to Portsmouth. While in Portsmouth, he lost his license to practice medicine after being found guilty on 26 counts of dispensing morphine to alleged narcotic addicts. He was sentenced in Federal Court in Cincinnati to 6 months in jail. His medical license was revoked on October 7, 1924 "after a hearing on charges of alleged gross immorality and conviction of a felony in connection with trafficking in narcotic drugs."
His listing in the Deceased Physician File (AMA) 1862 - 1968 states that he died on June 9, 1927 at the age of 48 at a hospital in Cincinnati, of hiccup following an operation. His official death record states his cause of death was a cerebral embolism as a complication of a gastric ulcer.
