Emil B. Haney
September 27, 1910 - June 20, 1994 



Emil B. Haney Sr., 83, Richland Center, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, June 20, 1994 at Schmidt Woodland Hills Retirement Center, Wisconsin.

He was born September 27, 1910 in Scioto County, Ohio, to the late Walter and Alma (Bradshaw) Haney.

After attending Rio Grande College and earning a B.S. degree at the Ohio State University, he taught for nearly 40 years in the The Ohio Public Schools before retirement in 1968.  He was an avid gardener and naturalist and spent his retirement years with his wife in western North Carolina.  After her death in 1985, he moved to Wisconsin to be near his two sons and their families.

He is survived by two sons, Alan (Laura) Haney of Stevens Point, Wisconsin and Emil (Wava) Haney of Richland Center Wisconsin; one daughter, Barbara (Dale) Baker of Huntsburg; six grandchildren,; one brother, Berle; and two sisters, Irene and Ruth, all of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother, Walter Jr. A graveside memorial service will be held later this summer at the Batterson Cemetery in Scioto County.
