The Minford Fourth Grade Boys Basketball unit, behind the play of its eight members, took home the 2017 Ohio Youth Basketball State Championship last Sunday by defeating Ross County Christian Academy, Wheelersburg, Columbus Academy, and Fairland between Feb. 25 and Feb. 26. Minford’s Fourth Grade unit, in alphabetical order, consists of Jayden Brewer, Ethan Cordle, Gavin Downey, Kade Glockner, Bennett Kayser, Myles Montgomery, Jackson Shoemaker, and Seth Smith. The coaches for the squad are Aaron Montgomery and Josh Shoemaker.
