Gampps, Incorporated is located near the border of the Minford/Portsmouth East School District line.  Many members of the Gampp family are graduates of Minford.  The Gampp family have been long-time, faithful supporters of activities within the Minford School District. 

Gampps Service Station was established in 1925 by George Gampp.  During the first year of operation Gampps sold coal and feed, and then in 1926 added gas and oil.  

In 1957 George's son Lowell Gampp and son-in-law William Lewis took over operation of the business. 

Currently Gampps Inc. is owned and operated by one of Lowell's sons, Dale Gampp and one of Lowell's Daughter-In-Laws the wife of the late Harold Gampp (another of Lowell's sons). They employ up to the fifth generation of family members.

Gampps Inc. presently employs 30 full and part time employees.  They offer a wide variety of products including motor oil, home heating fuel, kerosene, fertilizer and gasoline.  In addition Gampps  has been a dealer of John Deere Lawn and Garden and Commercial Equipment since 1967.  

In March of 2001 the service station was consumed by a fire.  

On December 24, 2001, Gampps opened a new John Deere Sales Center.  They offer a wide variety of John Deere, Stihl and Honda products, as well as excellent parts and service departments.  Gampps maintains a high level of customer service before and after the sale.  

On April 3, 2003 Gampps also opened a new BP convenience store on State Route 140.  They offer a wide variety of convenience items and services including; gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, Ohio Lottery, ATM, and pizza.

Today, Gampps has a long tradition of customer service and satisfaction.  Gampps motto is "We service what we sell!"  Gampps prides themselves on keeping their customers happy one hundred percent of the time!
