The business men of Minford held a meeting and appointed William Smith as merchant policeman.  Several gasoline pumps have been broken into recently and gas stolen.  Powell Brothers and Lloyd Kent report heavy gasoline losses recently.  Smith goes on duty at 9 p.m. and remains on all night patrolling the streats.  Other applicants were Alva Fullerton and Bill Napp.
