Levi Clinton Turner
August 16, 1888 - September 8, 1960
Levi Clinton Turner, 72, of South Webster Route 1, died at Mercy Hospital at 1:40 p.m. Thursday. He had been in poor health since June and was seriously ill nine days.
Born August 16, 1888 at Wheelersburg, he was a son of Warren and Alice Shoemaker Turner. He was married to Mame Nagel in 1913.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons: Lawrence and Warren, both of South Webster Route 1; a brother R. H. Turner of Wheelersburg; two sisters: Mrs. Maggie Schneider of Wheelersburg, Mrs. Ira Jolly of Hillsboro and a granddaughter, Glenda Sue at home.
Mr. Turner was preceded ind eath by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
He taught school for 51 years and at his retirement in 1957 was principal of Madison School. He was of Methodist faith and belonged to Madison Grange.
