Madison School

Madison School was located on Route 139 in Minford. It was established in 1938. It was built to create a centralized location for students moving from five one-room buildings in Madison Township.

By 1960, students in grades 9 - 12 had moved to the Minford High School building.
In 1968 all students in grades 1 - 8 from Madison School were transferred to Minford High School. At that time, Minford High School housed students in grades 1 - 12.
The building went up for bid by the Minford Local School District in May of 1970. The building was sold on June 20, 1970 for $8.700.
It was turned into a private residence (pictured above).
