The company was started by Earl E. Pfleger in 1940.  Earl worked as a representative for Farm Bureau Insurance and Nationwide Insurance.  Earl worked as an insurance agent for 32 years, retiring in 1972.

Earl's son, Dan E. Pfleger, joined his father in business in 1964 as a Nationwide Insurance Agent.  Dan retired in 1997 after 33 years of service.

Dan's son, Kevin E. Pfleger joined his father, Dan, in business in 1987.

In 1998, the agency changed business philosophy and became an Independent Insurance Agency representing many fine companies, most with Ohio roots.
