Floyd Pfleger was the son of John and Mary Shoemaker Pfleger.  He was born on July 16, 1902.  He died on March 10, 1983.

Floyd and his son, Ralph, owned and operated a grocery-hardware store.  Later a furniture store was started.  The furniture store was located across the street from the General Store.

Floyd's brother, Elmer Pfleger, owned a similar store in Lucasville.  It was called E. E. Pfleger General Store.  The brothers must have used the same building plans, because the Lucasville store and the Minford store looked identical.
