Ralph Wendell Gampp
May 25, 1938 - January 30, 2022 

PORTSMOUTH – Ralph Wendell Gampp, 83 of Portsmouth, a former Minford area resident, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at SOMC. He was born May 25, 1938 in Scioto County, a son of the late Lowell M. and Edna Mae Wiehle Gampp. Ralph began his teaching career at Minford. He taught at Wheelersburg where he retired from teaching on June 1, 1993 with 28 years of service. Ralph then retired on June 30, 2018 as EMIS secretary and activity cashier. He had a special love for music which he freely shared with others on special occasions. Ralph was the song leader at Sunshine Church of Christ for many years. In recent years he graced the residents of Hill View with his musical talent.

He is survived by two brothers, Ronald (Sandy) Gampp, Dale (Barbara) Gampp; a sister-in-law, Fredia Gampp; nieces and nephews, Jerry (Kathy) Gampp, Beverly (Paul) Adkins, David (Jill) Gampp, Barry (Amy) Gampp, Craig (Angela) Gampp, Beth Ann (John) Stevens, Stephen Gampp, Jeff (Kelly) Gampp, Lori (John) Oesch, Lisa (Shaun) McCray, Lynn Gampp, and many great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Gampp, Harold Gampp, and one nephew, Christopher Gampp.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Sunshine Church of Christ in Minford with Jamie Riley, minister officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Sunshine Church of Christ.
