Rick is survived by his three daughters, Tisha Rene (Russell) Weeks of Rubyville, Stephanie Lynn Reed of Lucasville, McKenzie Paige Reed of Willow Wood, and their mothers, Darlene Tindell and Jana Thacker.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Keri, Sierra, Ethan, Benjamin, Olivia, Skylee, Shane, Baylen, and Kaydence; a brother, Dr. Randy (Deb) Reed of Hudson, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick was a loving father, grandfather brother, uncle, and friend to all; and was a lover of golf, Cincinnati Bengals football, and college basketball. He was a proud juvenile corrections officer, a former football coach at Minford High School, as well as a referee for high school basketball and an umpire for men's softball.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at F. C. Daehler Mortuary Company in Portsmouth with Rev. Kevin Bloomfield officiating. The family will receive friends at Daehlers two hours prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daehlers to help defray funeral expenses.
