When this congregation was organized, it was known as White Gravel United Brethren Church.  It was located in Madison Township near the Mt. Carmel cemetery in 1860.  The building was destroyed by fire in 1863.  Another building was erected in 1869.   The White Gravel Cemetery is beside the church.

One of the previous pastors of the White Gravel United Brethren Church was Rev. Hoffman.
