Amanda Edith Kallner Montgomery

October 7, 1924 - December 20, 2017 

 

Amanda Edith Kallner Montgomery, 93, of Minford, formerly of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2017.

 

She was born October 7, 1924 in Scioto County, daughter of the late Allen and Mabel Bennett Kallner.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, and three brothers:  Forrest, Charles, and David Kallner.

 

She is survived by two sons, Richard (Carolyn), David (Kathy); three grandchildren, Tim, Karen (Darin Semchuk, Laura; two great-grandchildren, Rylan Semchuk, Luke Semchuk; three sisters, Ada Bradbury, Sarah Russell Gilliland, and Ruth White; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Mandy worked for Sears for 32 years.  She loved being with friends and family, feeding birds and squirrels, and helping in the community.  She always had a smile on her face, a hug to give, and a kind word to say.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m.

 

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Northlawn Memory Gardens in Westerville.
