We are please to inform you that Minford Local School District will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for School Year 2024 - 2025, effective Monday, September 23, 2024!
What does this mean for you and your children attending our district?
All enrolled preschool through 12th grade are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at NO CHARGE to your household each day of the 2024 - 2025 school year. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without have to pay a fee or submit an application.
In addition, all meal charges for this school year will be reversed. If your student has a positive account balance after charges have been reversed, the balance will reflect on their cafeteria account. At that time, you can decide if you want the positive balance left on the student's account for ala carte items or refunded by mail. (Please note, only positive account balances over $20.00 are eligible to be refunded. If less than $20.00, the balance will be automatically applied to the student's account for a-la-carte purchased). More information will be sent to parents whose child has a positive balance in the near future, but please allow up to 90 days for refunds to be issued, if that option is chosen.
