Anna Lee Johnson, 83, a former Minford area resident, died Friday, July 2, 2010 at Hillview Health Care Center in Portsmouth.

Born July 28, 1926, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Cecil and Mary Elizabeth (VanFossan) Johnson, she retired from the clerical department at the former New Boston Coke Plant, with 42 years of service.

She was a graduate of Minford High School in the class of 1944 and was a member of Minford United Methodist Church. She is survived by three nieces; Linda Kincaid Jewell, Judith I. Johnson, Jennifer A. Johnson; two nephews, Jeff B. Johnson, James A. Johnson; several cousins, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth E. Kincaid and two brothers, Raymond Johnson and Carl Johnson.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Sam Peters officiating. Burial will be in Hanna Cemetery in Jackson County, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
