Anthony Dean Wells, 53, of Minford, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.
Born April 12, 1957, in Scioto County, a son of Clarence F.
Wells of Minford and the late Ollie Gene (McGlone) Wells, he was a graduate of Minford High School, retired from the New Boston Coke Corporation, was a member of the New Boston Eagles, and was a Air Force veteran. He was an avid dirt track race car driver of the No.40 car.
He is survived by one son, Jason (Stephanie) Wells of Minford; one daughter, Jolynna Wells and Paul Dixon of Minford; one granddaughter, Jewelyn Wells; his father and stepmother, Clarence and Bonnie Wells of Minford; one brother, Wayne Wells of Lucasville; and his former wife; Vicki Wells.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
