Bennett School House
The Bennett School House was a one-room school located on Route 335 just south of the airport. It stood on the land where the Harrison Township Garage is now located, across the road from Shumway Hollow Road. Many people incorrectly believe that Bennett School House was located on Bennett School House Road. This school was named Bennett because one of the Bennett family members started the school circa 1853. The land was donated by the Shumway family.
When the building was no longer being used as a school, residents of Harrison Township voted inside the building.
