Minford Parent-Teacher Organization
President, Tracy Grasso and representatives,
Tonya Thoroughman and Norma Shoemaker
visited the Board and President Grasso made a
presentation concerning the past year's activities
oh behalf of Minford students.

In action, the Board:

  •       Employed June Book as an Intervention
          Specialist on a one year replacement 
          contract of a teacher who is on a leave 
          of absence.
  •       Failed to employ a candidate for a third 
          grade teaching position.
  •       Adopted the Temporary Annual 
          Appropiations along with Amended 
          Certificate, FY04 Final Appropiations 
          and a revised Five Year Forecast.
  •       Approval several supplemental
          contracts.
  •       Approved renewal of insurance with
          Utica.
  •       Set food prices for the 2004-2005 
          school year

  •       Employed Lisa Crawford as a handicapped aide for 3 hours a day for summer intervention.
  •       Contracted with the South Central Ohio ESC for services for FY 2005.
  •       Accepted food service recommendations for school year 2004 - 2005.
  •       Continued membership in the Coalition of Rural and Appalachian Schools.
  •       Authorized the Superintendent to apply for four half day waivers for professional development programs.
  •       Approved payment fo professional memberships for principals.
  •       Employed several custodial personnel for summer employment.
  •       Employed Janice Taylor for summer school instruction.
  •       Accepted a donation from Wal-Mart for the Middle School Principals Club.
  •       Accepted the resignation of Jodi Ruby as a teacher.  Good luck, Jodi!
  •       Awarded a contract to Allard Excavating for renovation and repair of the all-weather track.
  •       Awarded a contract to Current Surfaces for final work on the all-weather track.
  •       Authorized an auction for a modular building.
  •       Employed a substitute bus driver and custodian.
  •       Authorized the protective wall covering for the K-8 building interior as part of the building project at a cost of $10,300.
  •       Approved transfer of additional funds of $39,711 for the all-weather track renovations and repairs for a total of 
          $174,711.
  •       Changed the Board Meeting to July 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Media Center.
