The American Legion Buckeye Boys State is an eight-day hands-on experience in the operation of the democratic form of government, the organization of political parties, and the relationship of one to the other in shaping Ohio government.
 
From 1968 - 1997, MHS sent 2 girls to the Buckeye Girls State.

2020 - 2021
No students from Minford High School attended the event.

2019 - 2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Buckeye Boys State was cancelled.
