CAROL J. BURNHEIMER
MINFORD-Carol Jean Burnheimer, 55, of Minford, died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.
Born October 4, 1958 in Lawton, Oklahoma, a daughter of Cebert and Marilyn (Niner) Newsome, of Minford, she was secretary at Southern Ohio Medical Center in the volunteer office.
She was a graduate of Minford High School in the class of 1976 and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Minford.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Frank Burnheimer, whom she married on November 16, 1979; a son, Ryan Burnheimer, of Minford; three grandchildren, Adam Burnheimer, Brooklyn Moore, Haley Blevins; a brother, Ed Newsome of Minford; a sister, Robin (Paul) Jones of Franklin Furnace and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial fund for Carol at Southern Ohio Medical Center that will be used for a project at SOMC specific to the volunteer program at the hospital.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Rob McKinney officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford.
