Damon T. Downey, 72, of Brame Road, Minford Route 1, died today in Scioto Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

 

A native of Scioto County, he formerly was employed by Wolford Machine Shop, and was a 50 year member of Theseus Lodge, Knights of Pythias at Jackson, and attended Mt. Carmel Church.

 

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Effie Mae Shear Downey; two sons, Darrell Lee and Renice Dale, both of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Rose Mary Crabtree of Minford Route 1; and four grandchildren.

 

Services are planned at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Erwin-Dodson Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Holliday officiating, and interment in Bennett Cemetery, Minford, Ohio.
