Darrell Dewayne Dummitt, 48, of Minford, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

Born December 21, 1963 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Sandra Williams Dummitt Montgomery of Minford and the late Dewey Darrell Dummitt, he was a painter and a member of Painters Local #555 in Portsmouth.

 

He attended Minford Church of the Nazarene and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kerry Self Dummitt; one son, Errik Dummitt of Nebraska; two daughters, Stephanie Dummitt of Minford, Mylissa Dummitt Pitts of Stout; five grandchildren; one brother, James Dummitt of Lucasville, and his step father, Bob Montgomery of Minford.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Mark Bales officiating.

 

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Military rites will be conducted by James Irwin Post No. 622 American Legion and William A. Baker Post No. 363. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
