Derek Robert Bloomfield, 20, of Sciotoville, went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.

He was born Feb. 27, 1983, in Portsmouth.

He was a laborer for M & J Welding in Lucasville and completed his education through Minford High School.  He attended Harrisonville Avenue Church of God.

Survivors include his father, Robert Bloomfield of Cincinnati; his mother and stepfather, Kimberly Malone and Jonanthan Pariseau of Sciotoville; one brother Shaz Malone; one sister, Brittany Malone of Sciotoville; grandparents, Robert and Carolyn Bloomfield of Wheelersburg; and one neice, Jaden Malone of Sciotoville.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Doug and Pansy Smith; and grandmother, Betty Bloomfield.  He was loved and will be missed by all.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Don Wolfe Funeral Home in Sciotoville, with the Rev. Clarence Conkel officiating, and interment in Smith-Claxton Cemetery at Grayson, Ky.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and one hour before the service Saturday at Don Wolfe Funeral Home.
