Dolores Joan Smith, 68, of Sunbury, Oh., died Monday, June 5, 2000 at Kobacker House, Columbus, Oh.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Southern Baptist Church, Johnstown, with Rev. Mike Rector officiating.
Mrs. Smith was born February 9, 1932 in New Boston, Oh. to the late Gilbert and Edna Crum Veach.
Graduate of Minford High School, Class of 1949, retired from AT&T - Lucent Technology. Charter member of First Southern Baptist Church of Johnstown.
Survived by her husband of 50 years, William Smith of Sunbury; daughter, Teresa (Mark) Jones of Johnstown; son, Daniel (Brenda) Smith of Sunbury; grandchildren, Susan, Craig and Kevin Mahaffey, all of Johnstown; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Sydney Mahaffey of Johnstown; brother, Robert (Sharon) Veach of Minford; sisters, Helen Wheeler of Portsmouth, Phyllis Howard of Lucasville and Mary (Ferris) Parker of Akron; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Ronald and sister Wanda.
Friends may call at CROUSE-KAUBER FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice at Riverside-Grant, 3595 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, Oh. 43214.
