Donna Widdig, 80, of Lucasville, died Monday, March 17, 2008, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Sciotoville, a daughter of the late Raymond and Emma Toland Adkins.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, John Smith Widdig, June 5, 1969; and one grandson.
Donna was a former owner of Widdig Trucking, operator of Lucasville Sand and Gravel, and retired from AARP Senior Employment office. She attended Miller's Run United Methodist Church and was a 1945 Minford High School graduate.
She is survived by one daughter, Gail (Kline) Hobstetter of West Portsmouth; one son, John Charles (Debbie) Widdig of Minford;
five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Adkins of Lorain, Ohio, and James Adkins of Minford; four sisters, Frances Cunningham of Portsmouth, Norma Whitley of LaMont, Ill., Doris Ramey of Kettering, and Jo Ann Dill of Lucasville.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, March 20, 2008, at McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville, with Bob Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.
