Escom F. Borders, 92, Bradenton, died June 22, 2003.
 
He was born September 19, 1910 in London, Ohio, and came to Manatee County in 1960 from Minford, Ohio. 
 
He was a retired auditor who worked in accounting and auditing for Manatee County and Scioto County, Ohio school systems.  He was a 50-year member of Lucasville Lodge 465 F & AM in Lucasville, Lion's Club in Bradenton and Portsmouth and was former chairman of the Board of Directors at Westminster Asbury Towers in Bradenton for several years.
 
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bradenton.  He attended Bliss College of Business in Portsmouth, Ohio.
 
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Phyllis Seidel of Portsmouth; a stepdaughter, Barbara Jeffers of Watertown, Wis; a stepson, Don Bellville of Grant's Pass, Oregan; a sister, Louise Nibert of Portsmouth, eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.
 
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shannon Funeral Home, Town Chapel with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at First United Church in Bradenton, with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.  A reception will follow.  Burial will be in Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto.
