EVELYN LOUISE MOWERY
July 27, 1926 - January 9, 2017

WHEELERSBURG-Evelyn Louise Mowery, 90, of Wheelersburg, went to be with the Lord peacefully Monday, January 9, 2017. Evelyn was born July 27, 1926 in Scioto County. She was the daughter of the late Bert and Gertrude (McGlone) Watters.

She graduated from Minford High School in 1944. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Mowery, whom she married October 24, 1945 in Russell, Kentucky.

Surviving are two daughters, Cathy McGraw of Wheelersburg and Valerie Reese of Minford; two granddaughters, Shelley (Rod) Day of Minford and Shawnessy Reese of Wheelersburg; three great-granddaughters, Meghan Moore of Portsmouth and Braiden and Brooke Day of Minford; three great-great-grandchildren, Karsen Carver, Karlee and Kymlee Moore of Portsmouth.

She is survived by one sister, Mary Imogene Burchett of Clarksburg, Ohio.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

At the wishes of the deceased, there will be no services or visitation.
