SHOEMAKER, HAROLD E., 86 Belleview - Harold E. Shoemaker, 86, died at Sylvia's Hospice House on July 9, 2009.

 

He was born in Minford, OH and retired from Velda Farms as personnel manager after 30 years.

 

He was a veteran of WW II serving in the United States Marine Corp.

 

Mr. Shoemaker is survived by his daughters, Heidi (Steve) May and Helen (Vic) Oporto, both of Belleview; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Monday, July 13, 2009 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview with Chaplain Douglas Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala with military honors.

 

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 - 6 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478.
