Jackie Dan Ruby, 50, of Minford, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at his residence.
Born August 12, 1963, in Scioto County, a son of the late Johnie L. and Helen L. (Shumway) Ruby, he was retired from The Greenbriar Resort in West Virginia.
He loved baseball and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Tamara (Rayburn) Ruby, whom he married on August 12, 2003; a son, Josh (Emilie) Ruby of Minford; three grandchildren, Alexis Ruby, Gracie Ruby and Jaina Ruby; four brothers, Robert Ruby of McDermott, Johnie R. (Darlene) Ruby of Minford, Thomas (Joyce) Ruby of Minford, and Frank (Janie) Ruby of McDermott; two sisters, Jonie Ann (Terry) Colley of Minford and Jeanie Miller of Wheelersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacklyn Sue Ruby; and a brother, Fred Ruby.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Brother Terry Sullivan officiating.
