JAMES H. KINKER
June 3, 1932 - March 31, 2016
James H. Kinker, 83, of Bridge Street, Waverly, Ohio, died 4:39 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born June 3, 1932 in Minford, Ohio the son of the late Clarence Elsworth Kinker and Erma Mae (Snodgrass) Kinker. On December 3, 1955 Jim was united in marriage to Nola (Brafford) Kinker, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, James Robert Kinker and wife Julia and Ricky Dean Kinker both of Waverly and Randy Gene Kinker and wife Cassie of Chillicothe, Ohio, five grandchildren; Gena Trimble and husband Zach, Cody Kinker, Kyle Kinker, Michael Kinker and Lucas Johnson, two great grandchildren and a sister Elaine Hall and husband John of Lubbock, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Eugene Kinker, sister, Joy Wheeler, grandson, Byron Kinker and a granddaughter, Sarah Kinker.
Jim was a member of the New Covenant CCCU, Waverly, a retired electrician for Martin Marietta Corp, Piketon, Ohio and a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Navy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly with Rev. Dale Reed and Rev. Doug Campbell, officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly, with military graveside services by American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly
Family will receive friends at the Boyer Funeral Home from 6 – 8 p.m. on Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
