Janice Eltheda Shumway
1922 - 14 May 1976

Janice Shumway, 54, of Scioto County, Ohio, died Friday in an Atlanta, Georgia hospital.

A member of the Church of Christ, she was a Minford High School graduate.

Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Judy Purdy and Mrs. Annie Hassell both of Hapeville; two brothers, Bernard Shumway of Wheelersburg Route 3 and Willis Shumway of Sciotoville Route 2; four sisters, Mrs. Effie Gammon, 820 Harding Avenue, Sciotoville, Mrs. Doris Like of Sciotoville Route 2, Mrs. Averill Havens of Lucasville Route 2, and Mrs. Enid Schomburg, 4231 Maple Street, New Boston, and two granddaughters.

Graveside services are to be held at 11 a.m. today at Hapeville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the leukemia or cancer societies.
