Jeffrey Lynn Shaffer

Jeffrey Lynn Shaffer, 57, of Columbus, passed away August 27, 2010.

He was born May 3, 1953 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Robert Shaffer and Peggy Ann Justice.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Luana Shaffer; children, Jeffrey Shaffer II, Tearalee (Rusty) Riddlebargar, Brent Slusher (Shaffer), Shane Zaph; grandchildren, Curtis, Rusty Dee, Saige, Hailley; brothers, Ronald (Beverly) Shaffer of Ashland, KY, Charles Shaffer of San Diego, CA., Kevin (Yvonnda) Shaffer of Rubyville, OH, Timothy (Ellen) Shaffer of Columbus, OH; sisters, Carleeta (Harold) Martin of Columbus, OH, Teena (Allen) Toops of Columbus, OH, Kimberly (Mark) Edwards of Wheelersburg, OH, stepmother and friend, Gladys Shaffer; Tawny and John and many others that thought of Jeff as a father.

Jeff worked for Southwestern City Schools and was a member of the Moose Lodge.  He has worked as a carpenter for most of his life, building homes and room additions.  Although he loved carpentry, Jeff’s main love was his family.

Local visitation will be held 2:00- 5:00PM Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43204.  Visitation will also be held 12:00-2:00PM Monday, August 30, 2010 at Swick-Bussa-Chamberlain Funeral Home 11901 Gallia Pike Wheelersburg, OH 45694.  Graveside services will be held 2:30PM Monday, August 30, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Wheelersburg, OH with Pastor Jack Lore officiating.
