John L. Hutchinson
January 8, 1957 - May 27, 2003

John L. "Hutch" Hutchinson, 46, of Clarktown, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.

Born January 8, 1957 in Portsmouth, a son of Charles L. and Mary Daniels Hutchinson of Woods Ridge Road, Portsmouth, he was a foreman for Nelson Tree Service.  He attended Swauger Valley Free Baptist Church, was a member of Aurora Masonic Lodge No. 48 in Portsmouth, 32 Degree Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, Portsmouth Elks and New Boston Eagles No. 2271.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Marlene Semones Hutchinson, whom he married on May 11, 1979 at Swauger Valley Free Will Baptist Church; one son, Ryan L. Hutchinson of Chillicothe; and three sisters, Donna Jean Parker of Portsmouth, Brenda Kay Potters of Portsmouth, Mary Ann Krake of Lucasville; He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lee Hutchinson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Ron Parker, Jim Dummitt and Jeremy Hatfield officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. 

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
