John W. Seidel

John W. Seidel left this world and entered eternity on Sunday, December 16.  He was 89.

 

His Funeral Mass was held at St Bede's Catholic Church with final internment at St. Margaret's Cemetery.  

 

He came from a large and loving farm family in Southern Ohio.  His parents were Karl and Eva Marie Seidel.  His beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Helen, proceeded him in death. They raised seven children: Denise (Richard) Dwozan, Gail (Gary) Branan, Karla (Fred) Coley, Gregory (Elsa) Seidel, Marianne (Michael) Sullivan, Daniel (Elizabeth) Seidel, and Paul (Christine) Seidel. John Seidel had 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many friends including fellow Knights of Columbus and Veterans.  Preceding him in death were his siblings Patty Marie Seidel, Rosemary Seidel Newman, Jane Seidel Morrison and Elizabeth Seidel Figlestahler.  Remaining siblings are:  Rita Seidel Brennan, C. David Seidel, Ruth Seidel Sloan, James F. Seidel and Sue Seidel Sigritz.

 

He graduated from Minford High School in the Class of 1946.  He was a devout Catholic, a United States Marine veteran of WWII and Korea, and a 1953 graduate of the University of Dayton. He was greatly loved and respected.
