Johnny Gearheart
Sciotoville - Johnny L. Gearheart, 78, 0f Sciotoville passed away Thursday March 25, 2021. He was born September 11, 1942 in Scioto County, a son of the late Herman and Doris (Martin) Gearheart.
Johnny attended Bonser Run Christian Baptist Church, was a 1960 graduate of Minford High School, loved to play his steel guitar and going to yard sales. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Allard) Gearheart; two sons, Craig Gearheart and Julia of Rosemount, Chad Gearheart and Natasha of Russell, KY.; one daughter, Alicia Crabtree and Matthew of Lucasville; five sisters, Gracie Campbell and Marti (Roger) LeMaster all of Portsmouth, Judy Riggs of Minford, Patty Dingus of Michigan and Garnet Gearheart of Sciotoville; grandchildren, Zachary, Braden, Keegan, Drew and Grey; a great-grandchild Finley. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herman "Butch" Gearheart and Buck Gearheart.
Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday March 30, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Danny Deck officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park with Military Honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the D.W. SWICK in Wheelersburg. The family request donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
