Judy Susan Rhoden, 58, of Minford, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in the emergency room at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.

Born March 28, 1952 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of Freda (Royal) Ross of Wheelersburg, and the late James Ross, Sr., she was a substitute school teacher and a graduate of Minford High School in the class of 1970.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Randall Rhoden; one brother, James Ross, Jr. of Portsmouth; two sisters, Patricia Diane Ross of New Boston, Angela Lynn Mercer of Wheelersburg; father-in-law, Willie Rhoden of Clarktown; brother and sister-in law, Darwin and Nancy Rhoden of Clarktown; sister-in-law, Teena Rhoden of Knoxville, Tennessee, and numerous nephews and nieces.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry A. Ross and her mother-in-law, Audrey L. Rhoden.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford, with Pastor Harold Cox officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
