Larry Erwin Gahm, 67, of Minford died Monday, September 27, 2010 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Born September 10, 1943 in Scioto County, Ohio, a son of the late Vancil Erwin and Pauline Hancock Gahm Binz, he was a graduate of Minford High School in the class of 1962 and was a U.S. Army veteran serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of Aurora Masonic Lodge #48 in Portsmouth, American Legion Post #23, 32° Mason and was a member of Shriners both in Ashland, Kentucky and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Blind Veterans Association. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rita Kay Sexton Gahm; one brother, Gary (Joyce) Gahm of Hilliard; five sisters, Donna (Steve) Saltsman of London, Elaine (Lonnie) Brown of Minford, Judith Gahm of Aiken, South Carolina, Linda (Bill) Mark of London and Rita (David) Grimm of Galloway; his nieces and nephews, Terry Gahm, Shari Young, Cary Gahm, Barry Gahm, Jerri Webster, Larry Gahm, Teresa Ames, Patti Olson, Steve Saltsman, Adam Brown, Alan Brown, Bryan Mark, Kathy Kohler and, his mother-in-law, Edna Brown of Minford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patty Gahm and one nephew, Gary Lee Gahm, Jr. Larry was an inspiration to so many and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Barry Pelfrey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. A Masonic service will be held by the Aurora Lodge #48 at 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Military graveside rites will be conducted by James Dickey Post #23. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
