Lawson B. Montgomery, 72, of Jefferson City, Mo., a former Minford resident, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at a Jefferson City medical center.

He was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Minford, to the late Eugene B. and Minnie A. Howard Montgomery.  He was a retired lieutenant colonel from the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Surviving are his wife, Carol A. Fallon Montgomery; son, Phillip B. Montgomery; daughter, Cynthia A. Thomas; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City, with the Rev. Tony Alter officiating, and entombment at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville, Ill. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary, 915 Madison St., Jefferson City.
