Deceased Name: Marilyn (Conkel) Alexander, 89
Marilyn Joan (Conkel) Alexander, 89, of Orlando, Fla.passed away on July 7, 2012.
She was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Portsmouth, Ohio and is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Conkel. Joan was a member of First United Methodist Church in Portsmouth and a member of Beacon Chapter of Eastern Star in Columbus.
She was the owner of Alexander Newspaper Service for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Harry S Alexander and brother Harold Conkel.
Survivors include daughter, Patti Exum who she lived with in Orlando, son Dr.
Harry S Alexander Jr. and wife Katherine of Dayton, Ohio, four grandchildren Harry Alexander III, James Alexander, Andrew Exum and Kelli Exum, and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Wheelersburg United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Wheelersburg with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating.
Interment will be at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wheelersburg United Methodist Church, 11605 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, Ohio 45694. Loomis Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Apopka, Fla. is in charge of the arrangements.
