Mark Steven Schisler

Mark Steven Schisler, age 66, of Columbus Ohio, was called to his Heavenly Home on May 9, 2022. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on April 24, 1956 to the late Herschel and Louise Schisler.
Mark was a graduate if Minford High School in the Class of 1974. He was united in marriage to Vanessa (Rogers) Schisler on June 9, 1984 in Columbus, Ohio. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Malissa Louise Schisler and Amanda Nicole Schisler and a Special Pet named Auggie; two brothers, Roy Schisler of Decatur, Tennessee and Don (Cindy) Schisler of The Villages, Florida. Four sisters: Ruth Powers of Montgomery, West Virginia, Dorothy Bauer of Portsmouth, Ohio, Wanda Grieder of Wauseon, Ohio and Linda (Ron) Niner of Minford, Ohio. Mark also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and appreciated his wonderful humor and great wit that kept everybody laughing.
Besides his parents, Mark was preceded in death by three brothers: Bob Schisler, Paul Schisler, and Ralph Schisler. And an infant sister, Elizabeth Ann.
Mark worked for several years traveling across the country as a photographer for Royal Portraits. His life was enriched during those years of seeing God's country and meeting many many new people. Most recently he retired from the Southwestern City School system as a custodian. After his retirement from the school he was able to return once again to traveling by working part time as a driver for Enterprise Rental Cars. Mark loved music and singing and would share a song at the drop of a hat. He will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to thank all the friends and churches who have prayed for Mark during his illness. Also all of the doctors and nurses who have taken care of Mark during his illness, you have all been a blessing to us.
The visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City, Ohio.
