Michael Davis, 42, of Lucasville, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Southern Ohio Medical Center after a long illness. Born September 28, 1972 in Portsmouth, a son of Fred Michael and Kimberly Dingess Davis, he was a 1992 graduate of Minford High School and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Cheyanne Davis; one granddaughter, Kensley Davis; one sister, Kelley Renia Alley; adopted sister, Theresa Lynn Reed; one nephew, John Dillon Alley, and his grandmother, Lucy Dingess. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Dingess and grandparents, Fred and Laura Davis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Betty Riley officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lucasville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday
