She was born Aug. 22, 1945, at Selfridge Field near Lansing, Mich., to Challis and Beulah Hillman Spray.

Nancy graduated from Minford High School in 1963 and attended Morehead State where she received her B.A. in Political Science. She was a case worker for the Scioto County Welfare Department for many years. She also attended Christ Community Church in Portsmouth.

 She is survived by two sisters, Jane Ann Taylor of Columbus, and Mary Kruse (Keith) of Blue Ash, Ohio; two nieces, Katie and Krystal Spray. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Betty Walker, and one brother, William Spray.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville, with Pastor Ralph Clay officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

 Memorials are preferred to Christ Community Church or the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
